The Children's Place Throws a Pajama Party for the Children of the Starlight Starbright Children's Foundation

December 14, 2005

LOS ANGELES--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Dec. 14, 2005--The Children's Place (NASDAQ: PLCE) and the Starlight Starbright Children's Foundation California * Arizona * Nevada chapter brought holiday fun and cheer to children by throwing a pajama party this past Sunday. Every child in attendance (as well as every grownup, too) cuddled up to a day of fun while wearing a pair of brand new holiday pajamas from The Children's Place.

Also joining in on the fun were some very special celebrity guests, many of whom also wore pajamas from The Children's Place as they walked the red carpet. Pajama partiers included Constance Marie from The George Lopez Show (who read one of her favorite stories to the children), Jonathan Silverman and his fiancee Jennifer Finnegan of CBS' Close to Home (who held her own against many of the children in the video game challenge), Carlos Bernard of FOX's 24 (who kicked off the karaoke contest), former Miss America Leanza Cornett (who read one of her favorite children's books), and Danica McKellar.

The morning began with a $10,000 donation to the Starlight Starbright Foundation by The Children's Place. It was presented by The Children's Place West Coast Vice President of Stores, Paula Lyons to Karineh Moradian, Director of Children's Services for the CA*AZ*NV Chapter of Starlight Starbright Children's Foundation. The $10,000 will be used by Starlight Starbright towards hosting other fun-filled events for the children in the new year.

The days' activities included a magic show, arts and crafts, a "pretty princess" booth, a bubble show, face painting, a video game challenge, and karaoke. All of the children also left with a $50 gift certificate to The Children's Place so they can snuggle up to even more great fashions just in time for the New Year.
