(Nasdaq:PLCE) today announced sales of $123.0 million for the five-week period ended July 5, 2008, a 23% increase compared to sales of $99.7 million for the five-week period ended July 7, 2007. Comparable store sales increased 16% compared to a 4% decrease last year. During June 2008, the Company closed two stores.
